Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport is named after the country’s president who died in 2014. It comprises of four terminals dedicated to departure and arrivals areas. The terminals are linked through a shuttle bus service. The fourth terminal was included in 2006 after big sums of investments that led to increase in the airport’s total capacity up to 70 million passengers per year.

Metro line Nuevos Ministerios - Aeropuerto T4 provides direct access between the airport and city center in about 20 minutes.
