About the Airport

Formerly known as Seeb International Airport, Muscat International Airport is the international airport of Oman. Located 32 kilometres from Muscat, the airport consists of two terminals and the complex is spread over an area of 21 km2.

Muscat International Airport

The airport was first opened in 1973 as Seeb International Airport for a replacement of small airport complex located in Bayt al Falaj. In 2008, the name of the airport was changed to Muscat International Airport. The complex handled more than 14 million passengers in the year 2017.
