The square named after the Albanian national hero Skanderbeg whose magnificent statue situated at the center of the square. • Visit the National Museum of History: National Museum of History is located next to the Skanderbeg Square and is the largest museum of Albania with countless artifacts ranging from prehistory to the communist era.
• See Ethem Bey Mosque: Ethem Bey Mosque is one of Tirana’s most well-known landmarks and was completed in 1823. The mosque has fascinating frescos depicting various natural sceneries such as waterfalls and trees. Tours of the mosque are given daily only except for during prayer times.

• The Resurrection of Christ Orthodox Cathedral: The Resurrection Cathedral is one of the largest Orthodox cathedrals in the Balkans and was completed in 2014. The cathedral is located in Tirana city center, a short walking distance away from Skanderbeg Square.

Rinas International Airport (TIA) is located 16 kilometers away from Tirana city center. You can get to the city center from Rinas International Airport with direct bus, taxi, and rental car. Direct buses are available from 07:00 to 23:00 with one-hour intervals and the trip to Tirana city center approximately takes 30 minutes.
