About Under 18 Years Old Passengers Travelling Procedures in UAE

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) government has recently issued a notice to all airlines regarding a new regulatory requirement on all minors (children under 18 years old) traveling to the UAE which effectived on 1 June 2018.
Process to be followed:
· All minors or children traveling alone under the age of 18 years would need to have their parents passport copy and UM form filled by their parents with relevant details of their home address / U.A.E address and information about who would be receiving them in U.A.E.
· If the minor or child is traveling with a parent/guardian with a different surname, they shall have the document available to prove their relationship, e.g. copy of birth certificate indicating the parents names or a similar document including the guardian's name and authorization letter from the parents with parents/guardian passport copy.
· If traveling with only father or mother, passport copy and an authorization letter signed by father or mother who is not traveling is required.
The authorization letter needs to include the following details. The letter should be self-attested (notary attestation not required)
· Name of passenger and his/her flight details
· Contact number and address off the passenger in the UAE Receiving person details required
· Name of parents / guardian and their signature/s
· Contact number and address of parents/guardian at the originating country
