Travel Information for Infants and Children
At Pegasus Airlines, we strive to ensure the utmost comfort and safety for passengers traveling with babies and children. Please review the guidelines below for important information about traveling with infants and child passengers:
Definition of Infant Passengers: Passengers who are between 0 and 24 months old (under 2 years of age) on the date of the flight are considered infant passengers.
Travel After Birth: Infant passengers and their mothers are not permitted to travel within the first 48 hours following birth, even if they have a doctor's report. From 48 hours up to 7 days after birth, they may travel only if they present a doctor's report confirming their fitness to fly.
One Infant Per Adult: For safety reasons, each adult passenger may accompany only one infant passenger.
Infant Fee: Infant passengers do not receive a separate seat; they must travel seated with the accompanying adult passenger. For detailed information about infant fees, please refer to the General Rules, section 10.2 regarding Infant and Child Discounts.
Baby Strollers:
Baby strollers sent as baggage under the aircraft are recommended—but not required—to be placed in transparent protective bags. Transparent bags are available for purchase at the airport counter or from the Pegasus sales desk. The staff at the counter provides guidance to passengers in this regard.
Strollers checked at the counter can be collected from the baggage claim area upon arrival.
Strollers may be brought to the gate of the aircraft by passengers, from which they will be placed under the aircraft with the help of staff. After the flight, the stroller can be picked up from the arrival gate. In exceptional circumstances, some airports may not offer this service.
Baby Food: Baby food is available from Pegasus Cafe upon request; passengers should order it either at the time of booking or by contacting the call center at least 24 hours before departure. Baby food is not included in the in-flight menu.
Definition of Child Passengers: Passengers between the ages of 2 and 12 (those who have reached their 2nd birthday but not yet turned 13) on the date of the flight are considered child passengers.
Travel Requirements: Child passengers must travel accompanied by an adult. Certain countries may have additional restrictions or requirements for child travel. Please refer to the Travel Legal Requirements page for detailed information.
Child Discount: A child discount is available for passengers aged between 2 and 12 years, but not for promotional fare classes. Please see section 10.2 on Infant and Child Discounts for further details.
Seat Selection: We recommend that passengers traveling with children purchase seat selection in advance to ensure children are seated next to their parents. Although seats are typically assigned together, in some cases parents and children may be seated separately if seats have not been reserved in advance. Reserving your seats ensures you and your children will sit side by side for the duration of your flight.
Application for Unaccompanied Minors
Unaccompanied Minors (Ages 6–12): Child passengers between the ages of 6 and 12 who are traveling alone are considered unaccompanied minors (UM). Special conditions apply to ensure their safety and comfort. For detailed information, please refer to General Rules, Section 10.3 on Unaccompanied Minor Travel.
Passengers Aged 13 and Over: Passengers who are 13 years old and above may travel alone without special assistance. However, passengers aged between 13 and 18 cannot accompany younger child passengers traveling alone.
· Flight tickets for unaccompanied minors cannot be purchased through mobile apps or the website. These tickets must be purchased directly via our call center or at ticket sales offices.
· The Unaccompanied Minor service is provided for an additional fee. Fares vary for domestic and international flights. For details on fees and conditions, please visit the following link.
How Does the Unaccompanied Minor Procedure Work?
·An ‘Unaccompanied Minor Transport Authorization Form’ must be completed and signed by the child's parent or guardian at the airport before the flight.
· A ground staff member accompanies the child passenger to the aircraft and hands them over directly to the cabin crew.
· Upon arrival, the child passenger will be handed over to a ground staff member by the cabin crew.
· Ground services personnel will deliver the child passenger to the person authorized to receive him/her.
