Mount Ida National Park

Bird Paradise National Park is also known as Manyas Bird Paradise and is a crucial spot for authentic migratory birds. Bird Paradise National Park is located 105 kilometers away from the city center, in Bandırma district.
Zagan Pasha Mosque
Zagan Pasha Mosque was built in the mid-15th century and is the iconic symbol of the city. It was built in the name for the vizier “Zağnos Paşa” by the command of Mehmet II the Conqueror. The mosque is located in the city center.

Balikesir National Forces Museum
Balikesir National Forces Museum is a memorial dedicated to 1918 and 1921 to nationalist militias that ignited the initial sparks of Turkish War of Independence. The museum is located in the city center, walking distance away from Zagan Pasha Mosque and entrance is free.
